Hi, I’m Jenny

I am an award-winning journalist and author with 20-years of experience on staff at places including the New York Times and Quartz. I currently focus on the learning: what humans need to know, how they get that information, and how it’s all changing as we grapple with climate change, growing inequality, profound polarization, an information deluge and the rise of artificial intelligence. I like asking questions, I am good at listening and I have a lot of opinions.

I spent 15 years on staff at

I write articles. I was on staff at the NYT (10 years), Quartz (5 years), Institutional Investor magazine (4 years) & the New York Post (one very illuminating year). I won a Gerald Loeb for breaking a Very Big Story during the financial crisis.

I wrote a book on behavioral economics and marriage which won a Books for a Better Life award.

I’ve created new ways to cover learning —the science of it, how to to help our kids do it, the tech that may or may not make it better, it, and how it’s needed to re-skill and upskill billions of workers.

I have a podcast, a newsletter (sign up!) and am writing a new book which I will reveal more about soon. In sum, when not drinking coffee, I write, host, moderate, speak, podcast, and connect.

It’s not you, it’s the dishes

It’s Not You, It’s the Dishes is a clear-eyed, rational route to demystifying your disagreements and improving your relationship. Smart, funny, deeply researched, and refreshingly realistic, It’s Not You, It’s the Dishes cuts through the noise of emotions, egos, and tired relationship clichés to solve the age-old riddle of a happy, healthy marriage.

One of the most delightful, clever, and helpful books about marriage I’ve ever seen.
